Madinah Institute for Leadership and Entrepreneurship (MILE) is a non-profit Executive Education and Leadership Development Institute located in Al-Madinah Almounawarah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. MILE is a part of Madinah Knowledge Economic City (KEC) and aims at developing leadership and managerial skills of C-Level senior executives in developing countries in general with special focus on Muslim and Arab world.

MILE was successful in launching several flagship executive education programs and organized several international conferences in Madinah since its inception in January 2010. MILE is seeking to fill the position of Director Executive Education Programs, reporting to the CEO of MILE.The Director Executive Education will launch and grow the new programs and sustain the existing offerings establishing and maintaining a comprehensive dynamic portfolio of MILE Programs.[Apply Now]

The Director Executive Education is ultimately responsible for growing executive education sales revenues by building a pipeline of highly customized, intimate programs for specific audiences in non-degree executive education.

Strategic responsibilities include:

  • Managing the EE Strategy through the use of Balanced Scorecard, develop key strategic initiatives, ensure timely and accurate KPI measurement, and lead strategy review with MILE CEO.
  • Managing MILE EE stakeholders' relations including MILE Academic Council, Alumni, MILE BoD, Strategic Partners, faculty network, key accounts, and Sponsors.
  • Developing market intelligence, addressing competitive providers, benchmarking, preparing and implementing the annual executive education plan, and conducting site visits to major corporate clients.
  • Leading Executive Education marketing strategy, including development of marketing materials, advertisements, and academic program design keeping in account MILE balanced-development approach addressing Intellectual, Emotional, Spiritual and Emotional aspects. In conjunction with the CEO, the Director will build and work with MILEs faculty and shall seek to recruit the best global faculty for the programs.
  • Develop and manage multiple distribution channels including:state-of-the-art web site with integrated service, own or outsourced call center(s), e-marketing, international network of distribution partners, and social media networks.
  • Manage MILE Intellectual Capital through an integrated strategy to develop electronic content; developing local case studies; operating family of on-line communities of practice, and developing a network of local faculty through a shadowing program with international faculty.
  • Operational responsibilities include proposal development, prospecting and managing client relations, program marketing, and managing the evaluation and follow up reports on each program, so as to meet cost and revenue budgets and goals.
  • Create and manage a plan to attract, coach, develop, motivate and manage the performance of MILE EE team and externalservice providers.
  • Provide professional support covering all aspects of executive education for MILEopen enrollment, bespoke company-specific and sector-specific programs. This includes supervising the process of preparing material for EE programs which will enhance the image of MILE and exceed the expectations of MILE's clients.

Qualifications

Requires a PhD or appropriate Masters' degree, and at least ten years proven experience in designing, developing, marketing, and selling executive education programs and professional services to corporate clients.

  • The Director will be expected to excel in the ability to make public appearances (including speeches) and private presentations to various organizations and potential clients.
  • Prior experience with integrated marketing techniques & tools and applying innovative promotional vehicles to engage media and untapped markets is desirable. Strong candidates will possess outstanding abilities to communicate with senior executives and decision-makers both in person and in writing; to work within a team environment, particularly with faculty and staff; and to have high energy, enthusiasm, and creativity.
  • Overall, strong business and financial acumen, strategic thinking, proven businessdevelopment and relationship marketing skills, knowledge of executive learning practices, andconsultative selling and negotiating skills are critical to success in the role.
  • This position also requires detailed knowledge of executive education program content, including a good understanding of key management topics and disciplines (e.g., strategy, leadership, finance, accounting, marketing, OB/HRM, operations/logistics, ethics and corporate governance/board leadership).
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed, and to serve as capable, versatile staff in emergencies. While the focus is on Middle East and OIC markets in general, the ability and willingness to travel to work with current or potential clients is needed.
